For non-life threatening cases, Yangshuo hospitals and clinics can take care of you. There are some English speaking doctors and nurses at Yangshuo People’s Hospital and that is the one recommended by the Yangshuo Mountain Retreat. For small injuries the Mountian Retreat stocks most common medicines for headaches, cuts, sprains and skin irritation. If you don’t have a particular medicine with you, please consult with Mountain Retreat front desk. If we don’t have it, we may be able to find it for you.

are many pharmacies in Yangshuo selling both Chinese and Western
medicine dotted all over the town. Some even have common ailments
printed out in English so you can point to something that
corresponds to your illness and they’ll get the appropriate
